How to get there: From Sheraton Inn, take Jl.Basuki Rahmat from the traffic lights, turn left, and at the T-junction, turn left into the dual carriage way. Continue and turn left on the first turn. Move on till you find a larger road. Follow it past the bridge, drive up a hill a little bit, then you will meet a cross road. Turn left at the cross road, and carry on past another bridge, drive up a longer hill past Bumi Kedaton Recreation Park for about 3 km.

Scribe Run 445 (Pinang Jaya Run)

That morning it was sort of cloudy, and I presumed only a few hashers would turn up at the hash. I was wrong. It turned out to be a big group of hashers and new comers coming to the hash. It was drizzling  when the hash master announced about the run. But this didn’t deter them from joining the run.

The trails were a puppy and a main trail. Most joined the puppy as I know they only walk, enjoying the view, while the main trailers are those who are thirsty for speeding up along the jungle trail. Both puppy and main trailers started together, then split up at a large paddy field. Puppy turned left, and main trailers kept straight up till they found a gate to a dense forest. There were about 35 participants who chose the long run. Most of them ran like crazy, while a few just jogged, walked, and jogged again.

About 1 km before the on-in site, both puppy and main trailers met again to follow only trail leading to the meeting point.

When all arrived, the hash master announced via a loud speaker and everyone soon formed a circle. The hashers whose birth day fell on November were asked to come to the middle. As usual, there were food and drink. And the food was very special for birthday celebration. Happy birthday! I am looking forward to the next hash event. All microlet drivers hold a rally in front of Mayor’s office

Monday morning, November 21^st, 2011, the streets  of Bandar Lampung was not as busy as the usual days. Privately-owned public minibuses were on strike. They were all gathering in front of the Mayor’s office to hold a rally. They demanded that all privately-owned public transports use the same routes.

Related to RBT implementation, the local government  planned to change the public transport routes for privately-owned minibuses. “The planned new routes for us seem to inflict a financial loss to us,” said some microlet drivers. “We will be forbidden to enter the central part of the city. How can we get passengers?”.

The rally took almost a day until the local authority finally approved their demands.

The next day,  all microlet drivers were back on duty.
